Nah, never, of course not….yiddishe children would never be racist or hate other Jews…*sigh*

Ynet has a great article from Tali Farkash about the following.

Why are Jews racist, and when we say racist even against Jews who are of a different race. It has to end, because no one has the right to belittle another Human Being, no one. How can we state that we want Moshiach if we tell our children its okay to hate?

  1. Sometimes in today’s racially charged climate – its hard. One of my children is bullied – she’s pretty, she’s smart – teachers adore her. So she becomes the target for the bullies. And she’s learning to dislike the bullies and the color & creed they are. I keep telling her not everyone is like that but she’s young and making choices based on her limited understanding.

But we as mothers must keep up the fight to raise considerate children.

  2. It is plain and simple- because they are ignorant and realists. They think that its OK to be racists because of the crown heights riots or because its a Right Wing thing to do. If you ever meet non-NYC frummies they tend not to be as racist or closed minded.

  3. I don’t think you can say this town or that district is less racist or discriminates less. I think this is intense within certain groups. I am not going to write a megilah here and tell about the kind of stuff I have been through but to just to show you an example of what kind of discrimination I faced; I was called a “mix-breed” by a very frum woman.
