Dolls for the Jewish Girl…throw out the Barbies?

leave a comment »

The Post Gazette has an article about Gali Girls who are making a line of Dolls that reflect the Jewish Values Jewish Girls can buy them instead of Barbies.  One of the qualities they list is modesty and they have trendy skirts to show off the dolls instead of the curves of the doll…but if they really are trying to shoot for the Jewish Market and say its ‘modest’ why the pants? I understand probably for the more modern group of buyers who will buy a lot of things Jewish, but can’t help but wonder if this could hurt sales for the more religious sector?
