Can someone please explain why

Jews feel they can just throw their household garbage into city cans on the corners?

Seriously, I really wonder why. I see this happen all the time. Either with little shopping bags full of garbage, large black bags, or even boxes that have hebrew on them…right outside a shul…are at the corner at the garbage.

Does anyone even think of the chilul Hashem that eminates from such a scene? Or do we just toss it up to a simple ‘well that is how it is in Brooklyn’?

Don’t get me for the massive amount of litter, the posters that are put up which are against the law, and a lot of other ‘garbage’ related issues that we seem to just allow to continue happening because we think its ok? or are we just too used to it?
